Safeguarding

Safeguarding at The Hawthorns School

Safeguarding our students is a priority at The Hawthorns School.  Our policies and practices ensure that our students are monitored effectively and are able to develop in a safe and supportive environment.

At The Hawthorns School, we follow Essex Guidelines for Child Protection (SET), found at Essex Safeguarding Children Board.

All volunteers and visitors should be aware of our procedures for safeguarding children.  Our policies include:

  • Safeguarding and Child Protection
  • Anti-Bullying
  • Behaviour and Relationships Policy
  • Safer Recruitment
  • Equal Opportunities

All our policies can be found here. Policies | The Hawthorns School

Online Safety

As an adult it can be hard to navigate the many apps, sites and game our children access and to know how to keep them safe when using these. Ambitious about Autism have developed a page on their website to assist you.
